Tidewatch Command
★★★★☆ 4.3
Tidewatch Command asks you to defend a chain of islands against raiders, but the twist is the water itself. Tides open and close routes on a timer, so a wall that's useless at low tide becomes a chokepoint at high. Learning to plan around that rhythm is where the game clicks.
It's real-time but pausable, which is essential on a small screen. You issue orders with quick taps and the pause lets you breathe during chaos. Resource management stays light enough to keep the focus on positioning.
There's a fair amount of depth once you unlock advanced units, and the campaign missions each introduce a new wrinkle. A couple of later maps lean on trial-and-error, but overall it's a smart, tense strategy game that fits in short sessions.
